Chicago Rarities Orchard Project supports the establishment of rare-fruit orchards in reclaimed urban spaces. By filling empty lots with orchards, the Project will foster varieties of tree fruit that aren't commonly grown commercially, while creating urban green space, and educational opportunities for local children. Fruit from the orchard will help fund the Project and also will be distributed throughout the local community.
